"The Smartest Horse That Ever Lived" named Jim Key...was born in 1885 and inspired over 2

Million children to take the pledge and say "I promise to be kind to animals and all sentient beings..."take the pledge TODAY! Jim Key was able to spell, he was able to make change he could write his name in cursive - he even won a spelling bee against a bunch of six graders when he spelled Eleanor Roosevelt's name correctly! Jim Key was a HUGE celebrity trained by a Freed slave - Bill Key- who was owned by John Key a plantation owner who saw a "horse sense" in Bill Key and raised him with kindness and patience like his own son. During the civil war Bill Key protects his brothers in the South and frees many slaves -he bought the first horse at auction in Mississippi-he wanted to breed and train the greatest racehorse that ever lived, so he bought at auction- a former circus horse Loretta -she was a mess- and contacts the #1 racing horse at that time a beautiful thoroughbred named "Tennessee Volunteer" and they breed and the foal is a total mess a colt that can't stand up, doesn't walk right ...looks kind of goofy and some even suggested he should be "put down." Instead Jim Key saw something in his eyes and treats the horse with the same kindness with which he himself was raised - Jim Key goes on to be an American Hero and inspires many to be kind to animals...life is short...BE kind to animals...Be like Bill Key...
