"Yonkers Raceway has canceled live harness racing on Tuesday, reports the Thoroughbred Daily News, after the tracks' Standardbred Owners Association representative John Brennan passed away due to the Coronavirus. John Brennan, 69, a USTA director for 23 years and chairman of District 12, is the first reported victim of coronavirus in New Jersey.
According to Dave Briggs on the Harness Racing Update Facebook page, the coronavirus “exasperated existing health problems” for Brennan."
