I have learned...that John Steinbech is right, "If you are in trouble, or hurt or need...go to the poor people, they are the only ones who will help...the ONLY ONES..." So many times I have reached out to those who made millions off racehorses to save the lives of these horses, NTWO, the Jockey Club, Canter, the TAA, the casinos they raced at, the former owners, the former trainers and I have never ONCE received an offer of help from ANY of them to save the horses fighting for their lives in kill pens, what we do get is coffee money and some of the poorest have put these donations on their credit cards, donations to Soul Horse Tx, to save the wealthiest amongst us racehorses from kill pens, they pay 23% interest now on a horse they will never see nor even more then likely ever receive an update on...and the slaughter continues and they buy more. I have given up countless cups of coffee and tanning sessions myself to help these horses...
