If you listen to what Gus Stewart is saying...he is right...XOXO

The hard realty for those of us wanting to help the horses is - what happens to them if they all lose their jobs at once, once the dominos drop? Just as those employed in the racing industry fear losing their jobs, we who love horses and HATE seeing them in kill pens, hence the objection to horse racing, know we will see #s vastly increase as racetracks close. We know we will see a vast decrease all the subsequent years, yet if these horses are well cared for and have jobs, and are not in danger of being killed - once the Safe Act that ends kill shelters for cats, dogs and horses is in play and fully enforced, then we would hate to see well cared for horses in danger of losing their homes. How can they be well cared for when they are being drugged, shocked, left to die in kill pens, and raced with injuries, and dying on the track day by day week by week the #s increase dramatically?

Maybe being an Uber driver is a reality for some former racehorse employees, but it isn't an option for the racehorses...is it really fair to them to be demoted to carriage horses for the Amish, or end up in kill pens because those at the top of horse racing have chose to make the absolute worst decisions in history regarding the future of this sport? Should the good people stand up and demand a commissioner? Do the horses at risk of losing their jobs deserve a fighting chance? So far some of the horses we tried to stop from being drugged or dying on the racetrack at Santa Anita, initiating change- just ended up in Dubai after their owner left Santa Anita for sandier pastures...more likely then not they will face a far worse fate there. Or ended up dead at other racetracks like "Mighty Elijah" the racehorse that died at Los Alamitos yesterday owned by Jerry Hollendorfer now banned from Santa Anita.

Picture this...New York 2021...a winter wonderland...walking through Central Park and seeing "War Story" giving Carriage Rides in the park looking cold and PISSED OFF. Imagine wanting to get the hell out of there after seeing that and getting into an Uber and having "War Story's" former trainer "Elizabeth Dobles picking you up. It's not so far fetched as it seems...XOXO
