It always just killed me to have to beg the poor public to save the horses of the "Sport of Kings" the rich and famous from kill pens, for several reasons. I saw poor people max out their credit cards to save these lives, as they struggle now a year later to pay the 23% interest on that, those making the money on the interest continue buying new horses and dumping them in kill pens, far too many for us to continue to rescue them. I also hated it, because we could save 10 babies for the price of one thoroughbred, and I just can't say no to the beautiful thoroughbreds fighting for their lives daily in my news feed. Having put more thought into it, and no longer trusting the rescue (Soul Horse TX) I was helping pull them from kill pens, I had to find a new way...so here it goes #OpRobinHood...should the poorest amongst us, those being fined for NOT having health insurance on their taxes this year, really be the ones paying over $6 billion in welfare to support the Rich and Famous? Isn't this the EXACT opposite of what Robin Hood did?
